March 2016

It is the third time in the history of the Polish edition of BT when our readers voted to select the best of the bunch in the industry. Among the winners were Lufthansa, LOT Polish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Air France, Dubai International Airport, Accor, Sheraton, Avis, Dr Irena Eris, Škoda, Toyota, Samsung, Dell, Wittchen, Vistula and Neckermann.

The online survey that was carried out on our behalf by consultancy firm Deloitte, was completed by more than 1,000 people. These included readers of BT Poland, its subscribers – the members of the Polish Business Roundtable, as well as business travellers served by major business travel organizers in Poland: HRG, Carlson Wagonlit, Airclub and Weco Travel. It was nice to find out more about our readers.

More than half ofme to them (52 percent) are aged 40-59 and almost one-third (32 percent) fall into age bracket of 26-39. 54 percent are men while 46 percent women. The vast majority – more than 85 percent – live in the largest Polish cities. These are primarily managers (25 percent), corporate executives (CEOs and board members – 18 percent), specialists and freelancers (24 percent), as well as company owners (14 percent) and entrepreneurs (13 percent). They mainly spend their holiday in Europe (45 percent) and exotic countries (41 percent). One in ten chooses Poland as their holiday destination. They love skiing (25 percent), sailing (21 percent) and are fond of new technologies (15 percent). 29 percent of the respondents flew by air in 2015 between 10 and 19 times, 17 percent more than 20 times, and 26 percent between 6 and 9 times. 12 percent spent in total 30 or more nights in hotels.

For more details, I recommend you to read our cover article, describing the awards gala, and let me once again congratulate all the winners.
